Post-humanism

Image Description: On a reverse coloring sheet (Kendra Norton) with blots of purple and orange are tracks/ prints of different species drawn with a black pen.

I don't know what made me draw these, but I just felt like doing it. And when I read about post-humanism, I could connect with this and added more details such as CO2, the Wi-Fi symbol, and the footsteps of robots. It makes me think of the complex relationships we share with other beings and the interdependence we experience. This further takes me to the whole idea of animal-assisted therapy and the linearity with which it apparently operates.

Image Description: A handwritten card that reads, "Post-humanism decenters the placement of humans above other life forms, and at the same time rejects the view of humans as autonomous and fully defined individuals." Instead, it treats "the human itself as an assemblage, co-evolving with other forms of life, enmeshed with the environment and technology." Pramod K. Nayar, Posthumanism (2013).
